I ‘m going to tell you how this story has started. And as it often happens by contacting me through the contact form of my site and it said «Urgent we (the parents) are looking for a photographer to perform the photo shoot for a big communion event on June the 9th so in 10 days». By reading their message, I fully understood that “the parents” were in a difficult position.
So I have immediately call them to get more information to help them further and secure this critical event in their kids life. They told me that the photographer hired has resigned at last minute. They were looking so desperate . OMG I couldn’t leave it . I m also a photographer with a big heart as first. So I have quickly accepted to cover the event and I came knowing that I would have 5 hours to shoot 25 kids individually and 24 families. Some will have run away right !
Moreover this kind of event is very strict, where every location and movement were repeated prior the D day. And then just to add further pressure and an additional challenge, the master of ceremony (the priest) asked me to remain silent, meaning no sound from my camera during the event. So I’ve take care of all requirements and I did it. I’ve been discreet and conceal with silence, thanks to my stunning camera Sony Alpha 7RIII.
Check it out here below to see peaceful and relaxed kids and their family. The pictures are in high resolution and quickly ready to print out.
A good memory which allow me to develop a new collaboration with the commune . See you next year :)
